Sunday Sept. 18, 2005

This summer just won't quit!! It is mid September and the temperature is still in the upper 90's everyday with no rain. The fruit is taking a beating; there are no pears left on the trees, the pecans are falling pre-mature and figs are gone. The grass is about gone and if we don't water regularly we will loose all the plants that came from the nursery. Texas has been especially cruel this summer. I suppose we shouldn't complain after what happened with Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is a wash out and the Gulf Coast is really a mess. Hope that is better soon.
This summer has gone pretty well; all things considered.
Will stay in touch and hope to have some good news soon.
